Lifelong Michigan resident and full-time artist, Scott Martin, has turned his inner passion into beautiful works of functional pottery and decorative art. The pottery is hand created and representative of his appreciation of the beauty that is Michigan.
From mixing dry clay, to creating custom glazes, to firing and discovering the treasures inside his kiln, Scott combines his artist’s eye and understanding of the raw materials into each piece. Scott has studied at Western Michigan University and the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts. His pottery is the extension of his drive to create functional pieces that will enhance a table, wall, or mantle.
