"portraying the world one dot at a time"
Ronald Butt is a native of Boyertown, PA. He graduated from Boyertown Area Senior High in 1975. From there, he went on to Kutztown University where he earned a B.S. in Art Education and an M.Ed. in Elementary Education. He recently retired from the Boyertown Area Schol District, where he taught Art at the New Hanover-Upper Frederick Elementary School for the past 33 years. During his tenure, he also taught at the Gilbertsville, Earl, and Boyertown Elementary Schools. His favorite artistic endeavors include drawing in pointillism and designing/painting one-of-a-kind shirts.
Ronald’s cards are drawn by hand using a process called pointillism, where one dot at a time is placed to create line, shape, value and texture. The original drawings are usually 8.5″ x 11″. They are then reduced to greeting card size and reproduced by the Boyertown Publishing Company. Cards with envelopes are sold in 25 count packages for black and whites and 20 count packages for cards with color. Single cards and sets of 4 or 6 cards can also be purchased.
