TriSymbolize Glass
Allentown, PA
I find form and design from the world around me and incorporate these ideas into my work. Working with the elements, fire and earth, help me see the element which is me.
I consider myself a self-taught glass artisan. With flame/lampworking becoming the 6th medium of art I have emerged myself in. I started my glass career in 1999 with an education at Salem County Community College in NJ. Taking both art and scientific glass classes, I found a study where both form and function play a major role in the overall design of a product. I extended my learning at Penland School of Crafts and taking classes w/ Elizabeth Mears, Robert Mickelsen, & Milon Townsend.
I find form and design from the world around me and incorporate these ideas into my work. Working with the elements, fire and earth, help me see the element which is me. The fragility, as well as, the strength of the glass relates to the human being, as we are sensitive material.
