I received my AA in studio arts degree from Cottey college in Missouri. I attended the University of New Mexico for a year to study native pottery of the Southwest and finished my Bachelors of Arts in Studio arts at the University of South Florida in 1997. My work is influenced by my natural surroundings. I believe that the simple things that surround us everyday effect and can enrich our lives. I try to create pottery that when being used will enrich a small moment of that person’s life and hopefully make them smile. I write words and messages on the bottoms of my wares that send a positive message to the user.
