The 'twistee' hiking stick series was started in the early 90's after a test run at Hawk Mountain on a trek with his son Bryan's Boy Scout troop.

Tom Gottshall (a.k.a. T. Sherlock) has been doing woodworking since the mid 70’s.  Inspired by Russell Barbour, a little-known woodworker from Perkiomenville, PA., and Wharton Escherick, the well known Valley Forge sculptor, furniture maker & artist, his works have appeared in local art galleries including the Goggleworks in Reading.

The ‘twistee’ hiking stick series was started in the early 90’s after a test run at Hawk Mountain on a trek with his son Bryan’s Boy Scout troop.  Since then Tom has ‘harvested’ twitees from 15 states during his travels as a construction manager.  Each one is created with his distinctive eye for enhancing nature’s work.

Tom is originally from Boyertown [Class of ’66].
